Sorry my comments are not about wild rice… but, I am wondering about the Pontiac people who are enrolled with the Sagchip tribe. My grandmother had sisters whose last name was Pontiac and Louis Pontiac is my father’s cousin. I have this question Are the Saginaw Chippewa people related to Chief Pontiac? I have heard that Chief Pontiac’s father was Ottawa and his mother was Ojibwa.
